Hello
At the workshop, the model that I got from a friend was already slightly rested.
It's a bit valorized (metal barrel and some sheets from Eduard)
I will make the model in painting s.Pz.Abt.503 Normandy 1944.
I will be modeled on the following photograph:
At the beginning the model looks like this:
I made Zimmerit from scratch. Using a modeling mass.
next. Work on the model went very smoothly at this point, I started working on diorama and figurines.
I invite you to fast photorelation

I wonder if we will ever see the day people stop referring to it as the Porsche turret?

We have a henschel turret on the preview photo. However, the model is Porsche turret. Forgive me that I have not written about this difference before.

I realize the photo shows the production turret, but neither Henschel nor Porsche had a hand in their manufacture; that was Krupp. Krupp designed and built the early turrets for the VK45.02(P) designed by Porsche, but that design was dismissed in favor of Henschel's design (VK45.03). Since Krupp had already built a large number of those turrets, they decided to fit them on the initial batch of Henschel Tiger II's rather than waste them.
