Treaded Tires On BA-64B

The DEF Model set of tires I have have treads, but the wartime images I've seen have none. Do the treads wear off, are the treaded tires a later addition, or what?

Some pictures show the BA64 with civilian tires, thus the different look of the tires.

Did the Soviets get western tires as part of the war materiel sent?
I presume that they used everything they had.

The original BA-64 was on the same chassis of the GAZ-M....so I'd say regular Soviet tires.

Just to let you all know I looked at the tires again. Hard to see, but definite Cyrillic lettering on them.
