I grabbed a kit out of the stash, something for a quick build, Trumpeter's Strv 103B, #00309. Looking at the box art it appears to be sod/grass on the sloping deck. Is that a real thing or an artistic liberty. If it's real what's the purpose? Heat signature reduction?
Also, there are some poles with hooks on the end. I'm assuming that they're used for cammo netting. Does anybody have any images they could share of the netting being used ?
Thanks in advance !

The box art for the B version shows snow covered terrain...and the three objects on the deck.

Take a look at this pic...note the folded up and secured netting and tarps. I think this is what the box art is trying to depict.

Draped nets...but you can see the same type of securing mesh for the tarp.

The box art for the C version shows some camouflage netting draped on the front deck...

Here's the real tanks with camouflage nets...

The poles are part of the framing for the swimming skirt...

Now, that is cool, a swimming skirt. That makes sense an artist's depiction of folded up nets & tarps.
Thanks for the pics and quick response Jason !
