Hello, I am looking for more photos and technical data of the Pinzgauer 6x6 vehicle photos I found on the site:

I wonder what these tires are and what is the size of the wheels.
They are larger and wider than those used in Pinzgauer as standard (with the exception of the version used in early 2000/2003 by Delta Force)
Are they dimensionally similar to Humvee wheels or smaller. Which wheels available on the modeling market could be used in the construction of the model?

I think they are the same as the standard NZ Pinzgauer - BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A 255/85/R16 (from memory!).

Um a faint bell is ringing, I'm sure AA did make 2 6x6 Pinzgauers, as Artillery tractors (?), but if they did (I'm sometimes wrong...) it isn't in their current website.
Shoot AA a line, they will answer definitively, & if they got any bits left...
There is allegedly a vacform from 1/35 BMA Pinzgauer 6x6 712 +Mun.Anh

Hi Jon,
I wrote to Derek from Accurate Armor, he arranged for me additional wheels and suspension parts. He did not tell me anything that they were producing the 6x6 Pinzgauer version before. So it probably was not because I wrote and I sent Derek photos of what I want to build.
They offer 3, 4x4 versions:
K079 Pinzgauer TUM 4x4 GS Hard Top
K080 Pinzgauer TUM 4x4 GS Soft Top
K081 Pinzgauer TUM 4x4 GS Op'-Telic Patrol
Vacform from 1/35 BMA Pinzgauer 6x6 is it is very simple

My post was intended for Jon since he thought he remembered a 6x6 chassis. The two vehicles look similar unless you compare them side by side and see the difference in size.
Comparing an with a remembered image is very difficult so that is why I asked if it might have been the Coyote that Jon remembered
I am hopping that Derek decides that it would be a good idea to make the 6x6 Pinzgauer ...

Robin, as the son of a gunner, I've haunted Artillery Days & Larkhill, so am very familiar with the Pinzgauer family, and I've seen the Coyote/Jackal family up close as well, my recollection of a 6x6 may be in a different scale or wishfull thinking
I concour, we 'need' a 6x6 for the RA at least

can anyone help me and know what color NZSAS vehicles were painted including Pinzgauer? What kind of personal equipment, backpacks etc. is used by the NZ army and what paints should I use to paint camouflage on bags, etc?
I still have a question which communication set / comm gear set should I use when I building the model?

Hi Dariusz , HSV-Modelle did/do a series of Vacform Pinzgauers in 1/35. Their website seems to be down but you could try via their Facebook page here

I happen to own one of those vac-form models. It would be useful when building a closed (van type) 6x6 since it provides the closed body. Not very useful for this type of open vehicle with very little bodywork.
The chassis parts of those vac-forms are fairly simplified so using parts from Accurate Armour is probably better ....

Hi,
one more question, could the chassis in the Pinzgauer NZSAS version have underbody protection or look like it in this picture?
In the pictures from Afghanistan can be seen that the fuel tank is additionally protected.

I'm pretty close to 100% positive that AA never produced a 6x6 Pinz. But Hopefully, Jon's (and others) wishful thinking will cause it to become reality. 😀

I also have wishful thinking and I would like someone to prepare this model. Probably it would be best if it was AA. The base for the model is ready we only need to make a longer cargo with a cage with weapon ring mount, 6x6 suspension and larger and wider wheels than those which are in all 3 AA sets and of course the rest of the military equipment. But probably before it happens (if it happens), maybe I will start and finish my model.
