I was browsing at hobbyeasy and saw Meng’s Panther Ausf D on pre-order at $40NZ, & Tamiya’s M3, also on pre-order at less than $35. It compares rather favourably to other new releases from other companies, which seem to be increasing their pricing.
Good times ahead

I’ve payed a combined price of less than 50 Euros for Meng’s Panther Ausf.A and Takom’s Merkava 2B, shipping and handling included...

I am quite surprised, at the cost of Meng's Panther. I am doing my best not to order one, but its price point is just too good.

The first time I saw Meng's Panther price, I thought it was a mistake.
But pleasantly surprise and may force me to build a Sexy P

I will be buying Trumpeter's Tiger, as well. Should work out to ~$50.

I payed $39 for the Meng Panther Ausf A...compared to Dragon kits which are usually priced around $70,this is excellent value and the Meng kit truly is very very good.

A $90 kit would have to be *absolutely spectacular* to justify that price. Considering Dragon have been reducing the value-for-money of their kits in recent years by taking out individual link tracks, removing all the nice extras like special figures, extra bonus parts like metal barrels, turned brass shells and preformed exhausts, I'd expect their prices to fall or at very least remain where they were...
I'm afraid in 5 years time my prediction is Dragon will not be in the armour kits market at the rate the competition are improving their offerings using the latest production methods and selling at good prices.

I agree, the Panther A looks good, and a nice price.
