Hi!
It is not often that I look for aftermarket gun barrels, so I might not know all those manufacturers, however for the danish M113 PNMK I am in need of a 25mm oerlikon cannon barrel in scale 1/35. Besides, it is at least also fitted to the YPR765 of the Netherlands army. All 25mm aftermarket gun barrels that I found during search were Bushmaster guns. Can anyone point me to an aftermarket 25mm Oerlikon barrel (apart from the Accurate Armour kit which is resin)?
Thank you very much!
Andreas

The main external difference with the 25mm Bushmaster is a fluted barrel: the Bushmaster is smooth, and the Oerlikon is fluted.
RB Models, Master Models and Phoenix Models all offer fluted barrels for the 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster. The slight difference in diameter will not be noticeable, but you might need to do something with the muzzle brake and they may be a bit too long - but could be buried further in the mantlet. I have the RB one for my YPR765 project.

Hi Peter,
thank you very much. The solution is so easy that I did not find it-looking for 30mm barrels. You are absolutely right, the 5mm difference will not be noticed on the model. I think I will also go for the RB Model one-the muzzle brake looks closer to the Oerlikon´s muzzle.
Thanks again!

Just for future reference most current 25mm Bushmaster barrels are fluted and have been since I left the Australian Army in 99. Fluted barres are available for the 25mm Bushmaster as fitted to the LAV family

And the M2 Bradley FOV (Family Of Vehicles). The US has used fluted 25mm barrels since the mid-'90s.

I was talking about the model barrels, as the question related to barrels for a model. The readily available RB Bushmaster barrel from the original question is the smooth type.
However, Orange Hobby do a fluted one if you can get it. But it isn't fluted all the way to the mantlet, which the Oerlikon KBA barrel is. Hard to make this into a KBA.
the 3 available 30mm Mk44 barrels, however, are all correctly fluted all the way to the muzzle - which the KBA isn't. But they are easier to make look like a KBA with a smear of filler to represent the smooth section at the muzzle end.
