3-4 years ago this vehicle was in the sphere of unrealistic dreams. There were no skills, documentation and inspiration too. Almost two years ago, a colleague from Humvee Models, based on a large and solid documentation, set about building. He did a lot, but he stopped. On the basis of his work, I wanted to make my model, until suddenly ... Black Dog releases the conversion!
Black Dog Conversion
unreadable instruction with such a large number of elements
What is missing - both machine gun holders. They are specific and once in Danish dumvee I made one, so there will be no trouble. The second thing is the winch cover at the front, rear bumper of the A2 version, incorrect spare wheel.

I hate it when someone do a conversion of one of my favourite vehicles and it's crap.
Blackdog seem to be a repeat offender (super Jeep, Land Rovers and now this).
Trouble is this kills the market for serious manufacturers who would consider making the same conversion or kit.
Cheers,
PS : those who don't like me using the word "crap" do me a favour and compare the blackdog photos to the real thing.

Christophe
This is the producer market. Someone else can produce such conversion - better or worse.

Nice vehicle ! Hope parts fit well. Can't wait to see your built ! Thank you for sharing.
Agree with Christophe about Land Rover conversion. I'm doing their Snatch with MCS Barracuda and it is not an easy conversion: missing details, wrong details, deformed parts, bad fit of some parts, instructions not clear...
However with patience and material it is possible to make a good model.
And Blackdog conversions are often original.

It's a new set. I've tried several pieces and are like Lego bricks. I heard a lot of bad words about Land Rover with Barracuda

These are long pieces of resin. How is the quality, warping, etc?

Maki,
Resin quality is very, very good. New conversion = new forms. At this moment of construction everything fits like LEGO. The details are clear and there are no trapping

Do you know if there is a belly armor on this vehicle ?
What sand colour did you used for equipment in the cargo area ?

The armor is certainly, but unfortunately I have’nt any photos. Some mounting screws are visible on some of the pictures. There is also visible armor in the wheel arches

Nice work. Danish soldiers would be nice for those vehicles.
