I have used MicroMark and Smooth-On casting resin and mold rubber in the past and I was just wondering other peoples favorite brand because I need to order more and wanted to try something different.

I use Alumilite resin and RTV. With a coupon from Hobby Lobby, you get it for about $14 each. The RTV has a "quick set" and "high strength" types. Depending on what I'm casting is which one I use. Micro Mark is good, but expensive in my area. Same with Smooth On. My local Hobby Town USA only carries one type of the Smooth On and it's for making concrete molds. I've told them that it's not the right type for modelers, but that is all they keep stocking.

For the few times I've done my own casting, I've also used Alumilite RTV for moulds, and casting resin.
