hey all, for my wirble wind dio, i am going to have a dirt road, and on that dirt road i want to have track inrpints, i figured , yeah that would be easy, all i have to do is indent the plaster with the tank track while its drying, but then i realised, i will then later on have to pu the paint, to the plaster, then the dirt and sand, which infact will fill in the inprint, how can i do this without filling the track inprint.

thnx

Maybe the dirt and sand that would be raised upon the road elsewhere would be flattened to a great extent in the actual imprints of the tracks; therefore make sure that the dirt/sand colours are the same, but that the raised texture is not needed to be applied in the imprints? Is this of help?

unless the road is muddy you will get more of a dent than a true track print. A hard road will simply have dents.
You can add the dirt to the plaster before the plaster drys and then put the track impressions in the combo vs. just the plaster. Then paint the whole thing.

Take a look in Digital Diamonds... I wrote a featurette on this exact instance.
