I'm going to be building a PZ III M with the side shurtzen and the turret aromor and wondered how you guys paint them?

Do you assemble then camo or do you camo the tank without the skirts so its on the sides under the skirts/turret armor or do you assemble everything, then camo??

Hope that makes sense

Assemble, then camo. However, the Dragon kits with metal plates I paint separate and then hang them on the mounts.

Ok so no spraying behind the skirts at odd angles to get color behind?

Any picture examples you can share?

Unless Frenchy beats me to it, I'll see what I can dig up. I am working on a grad school assignment ATM (shouldn't even be here right now).

Base vehicle color behind skirts but no camo.

That is my understanding, let's see what the rest of the troops have to say.

Find photos of vehicles missing some skirts and see if the camo pattern is in place behind where the shields were or does the camo stop at the edge of where the shield was. It may take a few photos to find what you want but you will have a good example to emulate. There is probably some camo behind part of the shields because of the need to camo from the air. So Panzer 3 and 4s would have at least the top of the fenders cammoed. Probably not behind the roadwheels.
