I know this has been asked, before but the response was limited. Currently, I am mixing Tamiya Gloss Clear, with Future. My question is, what are the opinions on acrylic gloss clear coats? My knowledge is limited, in this area. btw I prefer using an airbrush.

I use Tamiya clear gloss exclusively. I thin it with about 25% Tamiya lacquer thinner (yellow cap) and it goes on very nicely with an AB. Never had a problem with it.

I like Alclad Aqua Gloss. I still use Future to dip my aircraft canopies in after I polish them.

I am not sure what the advantage of mixing Tamiya clear with future is. Did you mean adding Tamiyas flat to the Future? I like Tamiya clear out of the can and I like future for a different reason. I have had Tamiya damage decals before by being too hot. I use future when decals are involved.

I find it takes fewer coats and there is less chance of pebbling.
