....releasing other variants of the FMTV family? So mnany possibilities: M1079 Van, M1088 Tractor, M1089 Wrecker, M1085 LWB, M1087 Van Expansible and not to forget M1095 trailer. M1095 could be sold a tzailer and Unit Water Pod System Camel II.
And some more suggestionas... HEMTT A4, M977, M978, M985. I wonder if the announced M1142 TFFT will sell in numbers?
P.S. Speaking of Unit Water Pod System trailer, did anyone try to find the TM for this one?

I agree Hans-Hermann, these would be nice kits to see. But, the reason Trumpeter hasn't released additional variants is maybe because they don't think they will sell too many based upon the numbers of sales of their M1078 and M1083 kits?

If the kits will be cheaper, they will sell more. At least to me...

At least they did release a few boxings of the FMTV family, and even the trailer. Meanwhile the MTVR they only did one.

If the kits were cheaper, they would most likely lose money and eventually go out of business. Cheaper prices would be great, but they have to make enough money to stay solvent too.

When the decisions about the next 10-15 kits or the releases for next year are made they will choose the kits that they think will sell best for the smallest investment. Maybe throw in one or two completely unexpected ones.
If the sales figures had shown that LMTV/FMTV variants were certain to generate the best positive cash flow then the shops would have been overflowing with trucks.
Soviet/Russian stuff sells, that's why we are getting the AA-missile systems and the Iskander to name just a few.
I like the trucks and if "everyone" bought a few trucks then things would change.

I am afraid that it will be flawed from the beginning since using the frame parts of the M1083 kit. I only hope thy will include the Goodyear M/T tires.

I can't comment I've not seen sprues of this kit.
On the other hand, LTAS cab has not been made yet. It would be interesting for existing kits.

I know the press guy personally. Whenever i propose something, he actually just nods and says "We will see". I provided materials for the M777 gun back in 2013. With no results so far.
Obviously, Wehrmacht and Soviet "What ifs" are more attractive than contemporary equipment. I provided materials for the M1120 LHS in 2009(!), so it finally will be released soon.

Is it the LTAS cab or a purpose build one for the M142? LTAS cab has the door hinges on the "rear" side while the kit has it in front.

Me Personally, I would love a HEMMT wrecker. I know HobbyFan do one but I cant afford their prices so having a major manufacturer do it would half the price. Lets face it they are half way there with the chassis.

I build currently the HF M984, I convert it into M984 A4, the kit has some minor tweaks, especially the massive cage over the main winch.
BTW Lets hope that Trumpeter release more HEMTT variants, like they do with the MAZ-543 trucks.

In order for that to happen. someone would have to take hundreds of photos (of different versions, no less) and add measurements of every critical component down to the smallest detail. Until that happens you're out of luck.
