Hi Guys-
I just took a few pictures of my entry into the M1 Abrams ID campaign. I named my tank "Toad", after our very own turrettoad13... hehehe
The kit was a piece of work.... jeeez, and to top it off - I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to modern stuff. lol :-) It was a fun build anyway..
The kit is OOTB, with the exception of the tracks. I used the T-158 AFV Club tracks on it - I hated the wierd tracks that came in the kit.
Anyway - comments and suggestions are always welcome!
Later-
Jeff

Lord Nelson, I am beyond honored to be on your tank! Thanks! What struck me at first was the paint job...wonderful ! This isn't Rivet Review so I don't have to look for anything wrong, which is good. I like it all! Great job!

Very very good looking Abrams Jeff! As Toadster mentioned, the camo job looks great. I like the nose on pic (the 2nd one), -- always kinda cool to see the "business end" of a tank in a photograph. Paint job, weathering, decal work-- all solid---nice job on the 50 cal also. Congrats on completing your build for the Abrams Campaign.
ps: Toadie has at least three tanks "immortalizing" him right now, --- Da Mississippi 120mm Sniper Dude owes us a round of cyber beers (hehe).

Thanks guys :-)
sgtreef - I did the three tone camo for the fun of it :-) I like the looks of the M1 all camo'd up, so I figured I just do it that way. I have it set up in MILES gear for NTC training...

Lord Nelson,
Manie Warm Wishes! Very nicely built and painted. I am like you, I know zero about modern stuff. Good thing is that we have members here who knows about them and are willing to share informations, and give tips. i.e. Sabot, Broabrams, vondik, etc, etc.
This is very well weathered too. good work.

Looks cool JR. Nicely done camo scheme. Certainly is more fun to look at then a desert sand one. I like the subtle anti-slip texture that Italeri molded on too, it looks great under a coat of paint. I'm not an Abrams expert at all (plus I've never even seen one), so I'll leave it to the people in the know to comment on it's accuracy.

I love the MILES gear. Did it come with the kit? Seems like the only time I saw a M1A1 was with a lazer and stuff velcrowed all over it. Great Job.
