I will be building the trumpeter t-84 in 1/35 scale. Does anyone know of any after market metal barrel that will fit it?

If You are talking about the T-84 Oplot, then Yes; Voyager, Model Point, and about Six other AM company's offer Metal Barrels ! Altho, your kit Barrel should be just fine in most cases.
