Hi there,
I haven´t posted anything here in a while. However, I am just about to start painting Revell´s Unimog U1300 and I am quite unsure about the chassis color.
There are real trucks with green chassis for sure, but some photos also depict black. I´d like to go for black version, but I couldn´t find any detailed pics showing clearly if some parts of the chassis still come in green color.
Could you help?
I should also mention that the truck is planned with Bronze Green color.
Thank you very much for any feed back.

Hi,
We had a couple of these in our regiment (1983-85) ant their chassis had the same colour than the whole vehicle. To be honest, I never saw a German army truck with a black chassis.
My service time was shortly before Nato 3-tone camouflage was introduced, so it was "gelbolive".

I noticed several times that MAN truck have the chassis painted in underbody protective coating, the color is black-brown. Same color is used with Dingo MRAP. So I think there is a good chance that the Unimog U1300 chassis is painted the same way.
