Just thought I'd better thank you all for your assistance in this venture and for the very prompt and helpful responses.

This is a great hobby, and again, all hail to Armorama!

Thank you all again.

Brian, you are most welcome. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions you feel I might be able to answer about the Sheridan, I don't claim to be an expert, but I do have some experience in it. I spent a year in M60A1s, M60A2s and M551s at Fort Knox, and another 3 months at the Motor Officer course there. Followed by 6 months in M60A1s at 2/11 ACR (in fact, I gave my wife a tour of the inside of an M60A1 on our first date--she was an American School Teacher working in Germany), and two more years in Sheridans there. I finally ended my Armor days as the M551/M60A3 transition project manager at Grafenwohr for the Squadron as the Squadron S4. I've got a lot of Sheridan stories, some not so good. I was also on a Scimitar/Sheridan exchange in 1978 as someone else mentioned. And as was also mentioned, the built in boiler was a feature we envied! Strangely enough, there is a surplus store near where I live that had a Scimitar parked outside--brought back memories every time I passed it. We also have a Sheridan at the Fort Lewis museum close by (why I don't know, as they were never assigned there--I think they came with the 3rd ACR when they moved to Ft. Lewis a few years ago).

Russ,

Thanks for the offer and I just know I'll end up taking you up on it.

Halfway through the build or the finishing I know there will be a question that I should have picked up on but didn't.

Thnaks again.

Brian
