Was sifting thru the offerings on Shapeways when I ran into "Rat Patrol figures. Brought back memories of jeeps flying over the tops of sand dunes and guys swinging around shooting 50 cals on pedestals. Yep they all have4 figures in a variety of scale. Going to pick up a couple Tamiya 1/35 Jeep kits have a few 50's laying around...now to figure how to get the jeep to fly. Surprisingly in the pictures/stills they don't seem to carry much stuff on them. a few gas cans a tarp on the hood but no cartons of rations so it won't be loaded down like an SAS jeep. Well another diorama in the planning along with 130 other kits

Use a plexi rod, attach it to the bottom of the jeep, the other end to the dio sand dune base. Hide the rod with a bit of sand colored cotton or similar substance, then dust it with chunk/bits of sand.

Just test it out or maybe try different pigments for dusty poof effects.

Not suggesting flying off the dio, just high enough to get all 4 off the ground

On my bucket list for when I finally finish this silly Army stuff. In addition to the two jeeps I've had an M47, US half track, and Priest waiting in the wings for the longest time. I also have Legend's very nice LF1245 set, good for two Willys Jeeps, but most of it will probably not be used. While in Iraq someone was kind enough to send be a head with a civil war cap, but it never made it home. These figures will be perfect.
