Ryan about the brake cylinders, your idea is very good and it would make my job easier, because the Hemmt front axle air brakes are very similar to the Colombian M8. Either way, it is difficult to get one of these items, and they would need to undergo some changes. So I'm going to scratchbuild a new one.

I ordered the parts anyway. Except for the second nut, I think the parts would work. At least I will be using them for my build.

It's been some time since my last posts here, my apologies. I was involved with other projects like my Marder III DAK.

Well, the new diesel engine deck was finished and I also added some pieces on the rear of the vehicle. As I said, the diesel engine deck from MR Modellbau resin conversion has some errors and was not used, except a small part that I cut...

Good catch on the missing detail. The resin part looks to big to me.

You are right Ryan, not even this small piece is good and usable.

I will solve this as soon as possible.

It´s been some time since my last posts, my apologies again. Well, meanwhile I added some photo etched parts, a new antenna base and mount (the correct type for this version), I make the quad .50 machine gun mount with full movement (up and down too), I changed the little resin part for another one (thanks Ryan), and other minor changes.

Hello folks, new progress with this paused project. Well, I scratchbuild the rear air brakes, side mirrors and I added the antenna mount and the others two headlights housings.


Now it is ready for painting...

Looks good, can’t wait to see it under paint.

Base color: Humbrol 78 Matt Cockpit Green.

And,

Humbrol 186 Brown

Tamiya XF-1 Black

Tamiya XF-57 Buff (tan color)

Weathering time folks:



The vehicles are used for vigilance and control of the most important Colombian highways. So, I can't leave the vehicle extremely dirty and worn out, but, on the other hand, I can't leave the vehicle completely clean as you can see in some pictures, because he would look like a toy. So, I used some common sense and applied a little dirt where logic called for it.










If necessary, some touches of the dirt effects can still be made.
