Kit was originally produced in the 1960s by Nitto, about ten years before it was picked up by Blue Tank, which is long out of business now. The kit was the first model available of the LVTP, and had a battery, gear box and motor, which made it sit high, so it was out of scale. It came with a set of rubber band tracks, the turret was small and out of scale, and the details were either exaggerated or non-existent. I agree-- Italeri and AFV club have both released excellent LVTP kits within the last 10-15 years which relegate this kit to the junk pile. Blue tank was notorious for re-issuing many other kits that would not have seen the light of day because they were so bad. If you find a kit with the "Blue Tank" label, save your money. I built 3 of these kits under the Nitto label in the early 70s. Wouldn't go near them now.
