I was finally able to break out some AK Real Color paints, this morning. They spray beautifully. They have almost no odor, being true acrylics.

Yes, they are low/no odor lacquers and my new favorite live of paint. No messy dropper bottles and can be thinned, with anything from tap water to lacquer thinner.

Sorry but they are not real laquer, also AK say "Acrylic Laquer",It's quite different even if they share the word "laquer"

Thanks for the confirmation and comments!

I was asking because I constantly have problems with acrylics (Revell, AK, Mig) clogging my 0.2 mm nozzle on the H&S Evolution Silverline while MR. Paint, for instance sprays on and on and on without any problems.

Reading through tons of forum threads, it seems to have narrowed down to acrylics being the problem along with the way the H&S nozzles are built.

I wonder if the new AK line would behave better in combination with this particular airbrush and nozzle size. There was one test report which would suggest it does behave better but hearing it again, from a different source would be reassuring.

Neither are they "acrylics". In this instance "acrylic" describes the type of "lacquer".

I am making the gradual transition to AK Real Colors. Very happy with how they perform and the colors just look right to my eye.

Cristian, I use the H&S Evolution Silverline 2in1 and can assure you that with the 0.2 nozzle it sprays the Real Colors beautifuly. I thinned them with the regular AK 712 thinner, it sprayed very fine and had a great coverage. I don't remember having any problems with clogging, altough the paint dries very quick. I attached a picture of the result, all free-hand.

Regards,

Jasper

Superb camouflage work, Jasper! Thanks for confirming the use with the Evolution 0.2 mm nozzle.

I also like the flat look you got. Was that out-of-the-brush or after a flat coat?
