I'm sure you can find examples of all the camo patterns, as well as painting techniques, for free on the internet. Just have to look. Print out the articles and illustrations and make your own book.

Yes you are right but I was talking about this book as a purchase....... and rather than buying a book about painting a figure/s, you can just buy a paint set from different brands not just Vallejo with a paint guide in it that pretty much gives you the same info. There are some great painting figure books out there that give you a whole lot more info in them than this one.
Plenty of info on the net and great sites like this but for some strange reason I still like picking up a book and reading it, not on a phone, iPad or PC

To clarify my posting, I downloaded ie; tutorials on weathering, chipping, etc, various types of vehicles in different colors; printed them out in color; then compiled them in cheapo plastic clip binders. Now I have my own library. You can do the same thing for scratch-building structures; dio building and planning; making your own trees, etc; figure painting. Compile your own library and put them on a shelf for easy reference. As you discover new relevant materials print them out and simply add them to the appropriate binder.

Yes I do the same I normally save to my favourites folder in subsections. I use to cut articles out of magazines I bought and put them in folders on different topics/ tanks and so on just to save shelf space and throw the mag away. I then found over time my taste differed and wish I hadn't because there were articles I now wanted but had thrown them away so I don't do that any more.

I also bought it. Was a bit disappointed in the size of it. But there is good information enclosed in that SMALL booklet. As a retired printer the quality is pretty good. That also means that I like printed matter and do buy mags & booklets. I also go to the Web and look at stuff there. Borrow a little from this source and that source then apply what works for me.
You can definitely live without it but if you have a little extra cash to spend it's a nice thing to have.

It's a pocket size book, priced as a magazine, that will help you go on that particular figure and others, if you may.
I like the small size for benchwork, and they should have one of these for every release of the EK Series.

I think there are much better books out there and when a new book comes out you hope they get better and better. To me this book is more like a couple of pamphlets added together, yes the painting is good and limited info is as well.
My point is, if I picked this up at a show for the price I paid and looked through it would I have bought it and the answer is no I wouldn't.
I can buy a modelling magazine here for $12 AUS which has 60 - 70 pages or the Meng AFV bi- monthly for 18 with about 50-60 pages, this book/brochure 31 pages for well I paid close to $24 with $10 postage on top

Well done for taking the time to post a review video. I'm getting back into the hobby and would buy this book/mag.
Like yourself I still like to read hard copy, whether it be book or magazine.
Obviously the internet is a great tool for research, but with the cost of printer ink I found, in the long run, it was cheaper for me to purchase a glossy read.
Thanks again.

Glad your going to buy it as it is supporting the hobby and hopefully gives the painters more chances of doing another book. I would say that if you're just starting out again that this (below) is a nice figure book............well I liked it but not sure of the price anymore.
