I saw on Vodnik's page that the Rye Field M1A1/A2 kits feature a number of improvementsover their M1A2 SEP TUSK kit, but doesn't detail what. Are the improvements confined to additional sprues in the A1/A2 kit or did they improve the basic sprues that are found in both kits? Reason why I am asking is I have both the A1/A2 kit and the M1A2 SEP kit and one of my children has the sprues jumbled together. It's easy enough to pick out the interior parts, but the rest look the same.

They retooled several parts on original sprues, so it is not just new sprues. I don't have access to my kit at the moment, so I cannot give you all the details, but the changes are quite significant and change what was a mediocre kit at best, to a quite good one now.
Some examples of retooled parts are:
1. M1A2 ICWS (commander's cupola) is now correct size (was much too small in original kit)
2. Rear hull has now the casting numbers consistent with those on the rest of the hull.
3. Wind sensor base on the rear of the turret is now correctly centered, not shifted to one side like in the old kit.
4. Some parts not used in the A1/A2/interior kit, but included in it, were also corrected, like early M1A1 gunner's sight housing.
There was some more changes, but I don't rememeber more now...
