Hello,

one new project .... the actual (brand new) German bridge layer LEGUAN in 1:35. Based on the old Leopard 2 kit of Hobbyboss, conversion set of Y-Modelle.
Wheels of Perfect Scale, photo etched parts of Tetra Model and Eduard....tracks of Friul ...

Some first progress... fit is very good, casting perfect, details great (but more details necessary)

The hull was good - no problems here. I have some problems with the boom (small damage on the upper side), but the other parts are very good so far ....

A soak in hot water will solve the problem. I had the same problem with my Wisent 2. http://leopardclub.ca/reviews/Y-Modelle/Wisent_2_AEV/

Hello @ all,

some update at the Leguan. The ice grippers were replaced, instead of the Hobbyboss and Y-Modelle parts I have used parts from Meng. The replaced ones look a bit too soft I think. Also the spare tracks (two parts of the Friul track) are installed.

All the mudguards are replaced by photo etched parts by Eduard, also the holders for the tools, the grills and some small things at the rear. The hooks are resin parts of Perfect Scale.

Hi!

Be aware that Y-modelle Leguan is not the version that German army gets, neither it is the Brobv120! The vehicle in the kit has the hull in front of the driver´s hatch uparmoured, which the vehicles mentioned above do not have. I guess it is an export demonstrator only that has not been introduced so far.

You would have to change this hull area for the correct look.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello everybody.

after a small pause without time to make any update here.... some progress with the Leguan.

Mostly painted, Mission Model's new paints used (NATO-Green/Black/Brown), track of Sector35 andd decals from other kits.

Next step some weathering on the tank and the bridge ...

Cheers

Hello everybody,

a first washing with dust and dirt and other earth- and sand colored washes followed next on the tank.... the bridge only on the upper side ....

Metal pigments were rubbed at the corners and other areas ....

Cheers
Micha
