Too early for April Fool, interesting to see how it compares to AFV's kit.

No mention of decals.
The tracks look to be a work in progress.
Not for me I think, any old Academy would be good.
Dang I know should not of gotten rid of the ones I had ,Zelda and the Fitter so many years back.
Cheers

Just look closely at those images. If they are representative for the actual model (and in case of Dragon in 99% they are) then the kit will be total crap, worse than the old Tamiya or Academy kits. Not even in the same league as the AFV Club one. For the same price though...

They already used those tracks in two kits: M752 and M727 (or at least they call it that, as it is NOT a real M727).

True, but it's not the first kit from Dragon we see and experience tells us that in 90% of the cases what we see in those CADs is exactly what we get in plastic. So we have a very good reason to be disappointed already...

Normally I would agree with you that such criticism is premature and unfair, however Pawel's statement that Dragon's released CAD images almost invariably represent the finished kit is true in my experience. So, if the configuration in a DML CAD image is wrong the model probably will be too.

Yes, depending on which version you want, with the required AM pieces from someone like Black Dog.
Eduard did/does a Zelda armor PE set.
So did Verlinden at one time.
Another option is to find an old Academy Zelda kit. You can either build it as-is, or use the Zelda-specific parts on the AFV Club kit. Academy's also includes IDF-specific interior parts like the centerline seats and ammo can racks and a more complete interior.

Just for the record, the top version in Gino's post called 'Classical' (was introduced in 1997 and saw extensive service in South-Lebanon), whilst the second is the 'Vayzata' variant (sometimes also referred as 'Toga' after the name of the armor-suite developed by Rafael).

Now I know next to nothing about the vehicle, but out of curiosity, what makes the images look so bad that you can say that about this kit.Not debating you,but want to understand.

Anthony-
For example-On the back of the vehicle, the tow cable is just "stuck on" to the ramp. The rendering shows nothing holding it on, when in reality it had a round metal 'channel" that was welded to the back that the cable would wind around.
But I could be mistaken on this particular Israeli version
Not an expert on this vehicle, but I have driven 113's and was around them quite a bit in the late 80's.
And those tracks look like the things of nightmares.

Every detail you see in those images is either too thick and crude, or wrong shape, or inaccurate for IDF vehicle. Add to that many details that are just missing - some basic ones like the filler cap - and you get a crappy model (at least a CAD one for now).

The AFV Club kit is missing some key parts on the interior. You can see what is missing here. Most of it is in the driver's area and crew compartment. Specifically, no shift lever or ramp control lever on the right bulkhead; no mount for the driver's IR periscope, missing the power distribution box and power conditioner on left side in driver's area; no details at all on the inner front glacis, no heater in the back, no intercom boxes at all, etc.. Much (if not all) of these were included in Academy's M113A2 kit from 1993, 25 years ago. Academy's also had nice indi-link track as an option, where AFV Club still uses rubber band tracks that are really too loose. Granted, AFV Club's molding and exterior details are better, but they missed the mark on the interior in my opinion.
For Dragon's version, I will wait and see how it is, but it doesn't look too good.

Personally, I wouldn't go for this kit. Firstly, it's another Dragon take on a cold war armor and secondly it's being released in the era of awful Dragon kits.
But hey, if the company figures out money doesn't come from the 'Panzer Slugfest', investing in cold war western armor isn't that bad. We can only hope it is accurate.

Thanks guys. I won the Academy Zelda and Verlinden PE on Ebay and am looking forward to taking delivery.
I have done some work on my dragon IDF M60 today and boy oh boy, I am now even more determined that I'll never buy another Dragon kit.
