Did the IDF get the M911 from the US?

As per the title, just wondering if the IDF used the M911 at all? It would look SO good with my SLA tiran 4 being delivered to the SLA on the back!!

I cant find any reference online, but I know you guys always pull something out the hat!! pleeaase???

I don't think so. The IDF seems to have gone mainly with commercial tank transporters; Macks and European truck designs.

I have pics in my AK Middle East Wars book on page 79, which show the M19 being used. I wonder when the IDF stopped using this transporter?

At least it was still used in 1973 :



IIRC, it was replaced by the Scammel Contractor circa 1975...

Yup, they also used M19s, that is why I said "mainly" went w/commercial transporters. I was focusing on larger ones comparable to the M911.

The Diamond-T Tank Transporters served in the IDF from 1948 till 1975 (with upgraded engines). The vehicle was replaced by the Scammel Contractor.
