Hello mates,
the company I work for will celebrate its 125 year anniversary this fall. I would like to give my senior boss a surprise with a reproduced 1:35 scale model of this specific truck which was used by his father in 1939. I just have one picture out of our company´s calender:
1) Can you help me here which kit I should use as a base for conversion into this specific Borgward?
2) The truck have some wicker baskets with firewood loaded. Is there anything like that or similar baskets available (PLUSMODEL or someone like that) which I could use / convert?
Any input and help is greatly appreciated - thank you in advance
Best Regards
Thomas

The ICM Opel Blitz 2,5-32 could be the best option.

IMHO, the Mercedes should be worth considering as well...

Hello Jordi and Henri-Pierre,
thank you very much for the Input and your suggestions. I chose now MINIART´s Mercedes Benz 1500S as a base to convert it into a Borgward 1250. The weight class of both is very similar so it should be no big deal - one main difference will be to Chance the side cooling slots of the hood from horizontal into vertical ones. The different manufactor´s emblem will be made out of thin Evergreen. I found some useful stuff too for it:
This will be the base:
I found very nice civilian roadwheels for it:
Voyager offers some lights for the Opel Blitz - will use these too:
and the PART photoetched-set for the MB1500S will be used:
I also already contacted PEDDINGHAUS DECALS - they agreed to produce the needed decals for me.
A friend of mine will do some resin wicker baskets for the firewood and coal load. Will be a nice and different Project
Cheers
Thomas

Angel, I surely will do a build blog here at Armorama as soon as all ingredients did arrived. I just want to finish my current Project "ISUZU AA-cruiser" over there at Modelshipwrights.
I would be glad if you will follow this upcoming blog.
