What is the verdict on the above King Tigers? Are the interiors accurrate, missing anything?
Thank you for your help.

G'day Mike

they're very good, but not perfect. Some of the things which spring to mind are (and these are the most obvious ones which spring immediately to mind):

1. One of the dials on the instrument panel has a white face which should be black.
2. The girtsacks for the MG ammunition are too small.
3. On one of the turret basket supports there should be a spare MG barrel container, which is missing.

I cannot recommend too highly using David parker's book "Super King" as a reference source. If the book is too pricey, you can download the entire series of articles from the AFV Modeller website for a fraction of the cost of the book.

Regards

Rob

I would be greatly interested in getting the Superking download. They have a reprint of the book but at $95 it is pricey. I assumeit is a series of articles and they are spread out in the magazines. Could you elaborate?

G'day Steve

This is the site - http://shop.afvmodeller.com/customer/home.php?cat=263. You will have to search through the months to find where they start and end. The articles cost one pound (UK) each and there are 22 of them.

Have fun

Whew....OK they start with issue 45 and conclude with issue 66

thought I would save some of ya'll some time shifting through each issue table of contents. So it is 22 pounds vs 65 (plus shipping) and if you have a good printer and use some good paper... punch some holes and a looseleaf binder It should work

Another option is the digital download of the book on the AFV Modeler app. The book is split into two volums (due to size) The Reference book, and the Model book. Each one is $20US. If you have a tablet that may be another option. I haven't downloaded them yet myself but they're on the app. I get my AFV Magazine from there.

Hi Mike, am building one at the moment "porche turret" and am enjoying it though not without some issues. It's a big kit with many many parts and probably not for beginners. I am not a stickler for complete accuracy so defer to others comments. I really like interiors and this one has the whole lot some of which will be lost to the light of day when finnished but I like to try to understand how the whole vechicle is put together and works. I had trouble getting the rear plate to fit and also the hull top was warped and needed some "persuation" to sit down nicely. Here are a couple of links I have found useful so far;

If you're up for a wee bit of a challenge I think this will prove to be rewarding.

G'day Paul

yeah, you're not the only one to have troubles with that rotten rear plate. I didn't quite need a bench mounted vice to force it into place, but it was close!
