My thought on the kit below...

Engineering is simplified compared to other kits but there's no shortage of small hooks and handles. The hull MG appears to have a ball joint for mobility. It should be easy to build if everything fits.

The kit has an interesting way of putting the fuel drums together with both ends moulded in one piece but they're fused to the brackets meaning no OOB without the drums.

I know test shots aren't final, but is there really no attachment point for the ventilator on the turret roof?

The variant depicted on the box top is off model, unless Zvezda copped out and changed the kit contents. The CAD model they showed before had a different turret.

Well it looks more like their old mold kit with just replacing the wheels and tracks. I could be wrong now.

Looks like they redid everything on the suspension and lower hull. But the lineage is obvious on everything above the fender. Even that front fender.

But why they went to such trouble on the unseen suspension and doing so little for the hull and turret is puzzling.

Almost like another kit design by committee where one group used up the whole tooling and research budget before anyone else got started.

It's completely new tool; the details, engineering, and layout are different from the old one.




Only if we disregard what has been the standard for many T-34 kits in the market...

we will see what it looks like when its in the store next door, i guess. Anyway, nice to see some solid tracks for a change! I already got sick by all this crappy vinyl tracks on the market. cheers

Well two things I do not like they molded on the rear engine deals and I do not care for those of tracks, almost look like the Academy tracks.
Glad I received the Academy T-45/ 85 on Friday.

Make that 3 things the rear screen deal I bet is that non gluing nylon that has to be trapped between the two pieces, and falls apart if one does not cut it between the squares.
On to my academy one and Miniart tracks.

I have enough decals from the old RPM/Maquette Rudy kit to do over a dozen T-34/85 so this will probably find it's way into my stash just so I can compare it to my other T-34/85 kits.
