In Hungary in 1956 were the tanks T-54 produced in 1951 (T-54-3) and tanks T-54A.

Superb references, Dmitry! Thanks for sharing?
Can someone identify the second vehicle, in the second images? The one between the tanks? Thanks!

An East German one, NVA:

BTR-152 open topped. It seems is if later versions (rebuilds?) got a closed top. There are images with various types of heavier weapons carried in the open compartment. There was also a "Frankenstein" version with raised top used as command vehicle.

Should you consider adding a BTR-152, plse note that the Skif kit depicts a later style vehicle with an internal tyre pressure system. So you've to back date it...
That said, it's a real dog, eeeh I mean challenge to build.
Alternatives you could use are the Trumpeter BTR-40 or the Hobbyboss Zis-151 truck as extra's for this time setting.
Personal is easier, ww2 figures with personal weapons switched out for AK-47 or sks (from the dragon set for example)
HTH,
Sam.
P.s. the Zvezda Zis-151 (ex Italeri ex peerless max kit) is better then the Skif BTR-152..and before one asks, yes I've build all of them.

This one could also be used as "side kick" for the real tanks:

I hadn't seen this last image (T54A)- remind anyone of the ancient Tamiya box art of their T55? I seem to remember it was quite a striking image - and the kit was somewhat lacking - but of course, was all we Soviet/Warsaw Pact modellers had back then.

Impressive job on the detailing
I like the paintjob and the subtle weathering.

While certainly not an expert, I must admit I've never heard of this type before!
