Hello
This is my first post in this forum, and I immediately ask a question helpful in building my model
M48 and M60 have two different types of towers that differ in the shape of the back part. On the M48 and CM-11 models, the rear part is rounded from the ceiling to the base, and for example in M60 Dragon or Magach 7c Academy has a visible edge.
Do the differences result from the type of tank (M48 vs M60) or does it depend on the casting manufacturer?
Regards
Marcin

the reason they were different was that the M60 and M48 were completly different tank event hough the M60 is a updated M48
the M48 and M60 had the rounded bustle and M60A1 and M60A3 hade a more angular turret where as the isreali Magach 7C has applique armor around the turret

The rounded turret is exclusive to the M48. The turret with the visible edge is exclusive to the M60. This differences are by design, not a factor of different manufacturers.

Thank you Joe
This is the information I was looking for.
I am only surprised that the CM-11 Brave Tiger had turret from M48 and not theoretically newer than the M60

It's how the CM-11 was put together. Taiwan had updated M48A5 turrets and mated them with M60 hulls. The M48A5 turrets were up to M60A3 standards. Taiwan would supplement them with M60A3 and my National Guard unit's master gunner was in charge of the military mission to train them.
The M48 had a cramped bustle. The M60 had it raised to give more room. The M60A1 had a new turret with better ballistic shape and a full ready ammunition rack in the back of the turret.
Going from an M48 to an M60A3 turret was like going from a compact car to full-size.
