I was thinking of doing the 3rd tank down on this Star decals sheet- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Decals-35-883-Decals-for-Soviet-in-Afghanistan-1-T-62-tanks-1-35-/112148360127
the one with the spare tracks attached to the turret. My question is do the tracks stop on the right side of the turret at the smoke grenade launcher or is there no launcher at all? Also, are the tracks spot welded to the turret or attached a different way? Thanks

The guide horns rest on or under the hand rails which go around the turret. I am unaware of how they are affixed to the rails.

There are no rails at the location of the smoke grenade launcher.

Best guess is the spare tracks stop at the smoke grenade launcher.

From what I understand smoke grenades were never mounted on T-62M in Afghanistan. Pictures that I have show the spare tracks mounted all the way around the turret, from edge to edge of the cheek armor on each side, sometimes with a gap on the backside of the turret. It appears the tracks are linked and wired to hooks and grab handles in a couple places.
