The instructions say drill these 2 , .8mm holes in the engine cover .
So I flipped ahead and find there is no component to mount there .
What are these holes for ?

Only photo so far ,
Definitely a hole , the port one anywayz .
Looks bigger than 28mm , but , shadow I guess...

& where maybe some top-side pics of the early , Krupps prototype turret'd tank ?
Thanks

No I don't...When I built this kit I was wondering the same thing you were about the holes in the deck

Heh heh -- didn't realize how close to the vent they were ,, then had some confirmation bias when I went looking for pix

These instructions are ridiculous ; they have all these separate isometrics for identical steps for each of the versions you can build .
I assume this upper hull is intended for the production version.

I still want to know about the grooves@ the top edge of the glacis

This is the best view I could find in my reference material of the rear engine deck. This is from a October 1944 production KT tank.

It's one thing when they ask you to drill holes and then there is no part to be mounted there. It¨s another when the holes are already there, in a patterned/textured surface and then there is no part to mount there and the fricking holes need to be filled or covered ....

Oh well, challenges are there to be overcome ...

I need to get some books on the Tigers .

I wanted to build the initial production version with the prototype turret ,
so I for some reason buy this modern kit :

... but you have to modify the hull by filling and adding to the hull for each of the 4 versions offered .

I have no idea why I would think this was the proper kit ,,
Oh .
yeah .
right -

It's nothing difficult of course , just annoying .

Thanks for the replies , gentlemen .
