I purchased an Orange Hobby barrel for my M1A1 and I'm a bit disappointed with it. The fume extractor looks like it was cast from a 3D print as it is covered in striations. The two halves of the fume extractor are not lined up and I'll have to cut it in half to fix it.

Mine was like that too, but I used a Flex-I-File on it and was able to sand it without cutting it. I didn't have a gap where the metal parts slid in, though

Yes I had the same issue bit just sanded it smooth.
