Saw that LuckyModel is now listing as available, not just pre-order. That means some lucky builder out there has already scored one.

Any info on the actual kit parts, photos, etc?

Don't know where you saw it because it does not show available on lucky models.

It still says preorder. IF it is in stock, it will say In Stock. Available means not in stock but they expect a restock at some point

A little off topic but im wondering if you took the cab off of Italeri's M923 could you get a correct M923? not the M923A1 or As which bot had the super single tires

Based on the below info, you should be able to do that.

Early M939s were rebuilds of M809 vehicle chassis by AM General, with a new automatic transmission, cab, and hood/fender. The M939 and M939A1 models use a Cummins NHC 250 diesel engine. This was the standard engine of the M809 series. The M939A2 models use a newer and smaller Cummins 6CTA8.3 diesel engine. Vehicles with the –A2 suffix are new production by Bowen-McLaughlin-York/BMY with the later model Cummins engine. The 10x tires or 6x bigfoot tires can be used on any M939 series truck and do not denote a nomenclature (number or letter) change.

Hi Everyone
I do have the AFV CLUB M54A2 kit
and a lot of bits, I also love the way they have done the cab and rear tarp both thin plastic and folds, the bed does have that ridge look as well .

I am just about to start the build and it looks like a busy build

Ossie, where did you source the kit from? Merit Int'l in USA still looking to July for availability.

This kit is now available in the US. I bought one off eBay from a shop in CA (singsing66) on Mon and it will be here in FL by Thurs. Not bad to get all the way from coast to coast. I can't wait to get it.

The sprue shots and directions are posted here at Hobby Search Japan too. It looks really detailed and looks like you get two spare tires and quite a few spare suspension parts since you get two of the B sprues and only use some of the parts off the second one.

I wouldn't rely on Lucky Model to give you correct information about availability, they still show the AFV Club M60A2 as 'pre order'.....That kit has been out for at least a month so it's more like 'havent got around to placing an order' in reality.

You might want to consider the remote possibility that the thread does not revolve around you and your writings and that people are permitted to - and in fact, may actually choose to - post in response to others beside yourself.

Not trying to upset you, just offering something think about when you see a post in a thread that does not appear to relate to your own opinions and observations.

Who said anything revolves around me???

My only point was that people should read later posts, not just the initial post(s) of a thread over a month old. Usually, people respond to the latest posts, not the original one over a month ago.

I read all the posts and my own was in response to the original posters comments about Lucky Model. The fact that the kit is now available has absolutely nothing to do with it, which I would have thought was pretty obvious.
Anyway, I think I've wasted enough time on this....enjoy your build.

I received mine today. Great seller with super-fast shipping. It is really nice. It does have two spare tires and a few extra suspension parts on the duplicate B sprues. It also has a hard top and a soft top for the cab, canvas tarp and/or bows for the cargo area, and lots of details throughout. It looks like a real winner.

Got mine too. Now If Real Models would make a conversion to make a M800 series truck or if AFV Club will make a M800 series kit.
