Next on the desk is the Airfix Warrior

What I didn't want to do is your typical Afghan version but go with one as used in Estonia at present.

Apart from the kit I am using the etch from Airfix plus scratched items.

I will not be adding the bar armour as this over scaled and not in use on the vehicles in Estonia.

Which PE set are you using, or did it come with the kit?

Its the Airfix set you can buy seperatly

although you just got started I already love this one. When visiting the UK last year I bought this kit as a souvenir. (Naturally) I haven't started yet. I bought some resin figures but couldn't convince myself to the etched set. Seeing your lovely build I guess I'll have to invest some more!

Really looking forward to seeing this one finished!

Thanks Mark - its a great little kit but is missing some of the finesse that the etch can replicate.

One area I wont be adding is the slat armour as it is way to over scale which is a shame - thankfully its not fitted on the ones in Estonia

Bit more on this with details to the hatches..

Change of plan on this build - one reason to build the Estonian version was to omit the slat armour - but no I have to build the slat armour as who wants to step away from a challenge.

Of course the slat armour is over sized considerably so I decided to try and replicate this with strip.

I first built a jig for the slats then put each panel together - this is just one side.

Absolutely gorgeous work. I'm surprised by the utter lack of commentary. Have you had a chance to do anything more with it?
