I finally received my copy of the Modelers Guide to the Tiger Tank from Squadron today. I'm so impressed with it that I would like to find a copy of the Modelers Guide to the Sherman too. I know that it's out of print and the reviews were not the greatest, but if it's half as good as this guide then I have got to get a copy. I've checked e-bay, Amazon, Squadron, VLS, etc. with no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I might find a copy? Thanks in advance for any help.

Let me just briefly explain what ABEBOOKS is for the unitiated.... ABE is a group of allied booksellers (principally 2nd hand) who provide a 'clearing -house' for people looking for out of print books. What happens, is when you find your book, you usually find loads of booksellers who have the same one available. This lets you choose the price, and choose a bookseller near to you (to cut down on postage) . Truly brilliant system......Jim

Good luck on your search. I got mine when they first came out from Squadron Mail Order for around $18. Well worth the money. I have talked to folks online who have paid $30-50+ for a copy ($51 and change recently). I don't know if it's worth that much. I picked up the Engineering and Recovery vehicle one for around $20 recently.

Sabot, What book on engineering/recovery vehicles? In my innocence I assumed that the Kalmbach guides only included two, the Sherman and the Tiger... Any chance of a quick run-down on what else they published)...Thanks, Jim

Matt's link above is the one that I'm talking about. In addition to this one, they have one on the Kubelwagen. I bought my Engineer/Recovery book a couple of months ago from Squardon and they already stopped listing it! These MMiR books go quickly.Sabot, What book on engineering/recovery vehicles? Thanks for everyone's help. I'm gonna try for the one on e-bay, but like Sabot mentioned, if it's going for too much I might just have to wait. It's kind of like the Hunnicutt Sherman book, The best price I've found is around $600. Think I'll wait for the reprint (if there is one.....).
:-)
Thanks again, Rick
