Hi,

I'm looking for 1/72 scale modern civilians.
Preiser has what I need but I don't like the details.
Any suggestions?

There's some street protester sets and some sets called Concrete Jungle, and one or two others you might find usable.

I've bought 3-D printed figures from Shapeways in different scales and from different designers and am not too impressed. They all suffer from the same problem - because of the many angles and contours of figures, they always have noticeable printing strata somewhere on them, giving them a rough-appearing surface after priming. Can't beat old-time cast, or molded, figures!

This is a 1/72 3D printed figures (not shapeways) painted by Czech modeller Stepan Los

You can beat with 3D printing old time cast, I think. Figure was not modified, nothing added on except primer and paint

WOW, that's one of the most incredible paint job i ever saw!!
The figure is superb but the paint job is fantastic!

That's the exception to the rule. I believe Reedoak uses a much higher resolution printer than Shapeways. Cost per figure is also higher...but, you get what you pay for!
