Hello everybody,

the next bigger project: MAZ-543 + KS-6571 Mobile Crane.

Base ki: Scud-B "Elbrus" of Trumpeter
Conversion: KS-6571 of Panzershop

The chassis and the suspension is mostly finished and the resin wheels of Def.Model are dryfitted. I will glue the steering later once the cab and wheel houses are finished also.

Next step - engine and cab ... with some photo etched parts of Voyager ...

I hope you like this new project...

Cheers

Hello everybody.

The engine and the front grille are ready but remain separately as well as the wheels.

The front bar is also finished, the holders for the tow cable are made of wire instead of the plastic parts.

The two first sub-assemblies of the crane are assembled as well. Some photo etched parts are used of the base kit here.
Lot of wiring is necessary to be added next as well as some further small details and stuff.

All put together, the actual situation ... all unglued yet ....

So far for the moment. Now it is time for summer vacation .... more next month

Cheers
Micha

That conversion is hiding in my stash and some day I hope to have the time and courage to build it

Hello everybody.

I have added some wiring at the first part of the upper structure and mounted the base of the crane. Here also some wiring will follow.

The seats received some covering with tape and also some damages, the interior is painted in interior turquoise of Mig.

Hello everybody,

some more progress here. The crane boom is assembled. Several parts, glued and put together.

The super structure of the crane is also mostly assembled and several wiring (soldering wire) added as well as some parts which I still had from other kits.
Some more wiring will folllow at the boom and on the other side of the structure as well as on the hydraulic cylinders.
The boom is glued in position and adjusted to the vehicle. It will not be movable later.

The interior of the drivers cab is painted in the final color now - I have corrected the turquoise color a little bit .... and painted the small things with a fine brush. Now some dust and dirt follows as well as ome other small things ...

Hi Michael - wow - that is one big, and nicely built model! I like it all around, construction through paint and weathering. I’m guessing it’s heavy and awkward to move - so, all the more respect for you being able to build it up without breaking it in the process! Good work!

Cheers
