Does anyone make the Goodyear wheels in 35th for the M1083? I wanted to get a set for my HIMARs, but all I can find is either the Michelin wheels for the M0183 or Goodyear for the M1078 //(only 4 wheels)

That's for the HEMMT. I think the hubs are different on the M1083/FMTVs

I have no idea why I posted that! You wrote m1083 and my mind saw m983. Lol
Only set I know of is DEF. They are for the m1078, so as you said, you will be 2 short.
You might be able to contact DEF and see if they will sell you a set for the m1083.

The wheel hubs on the HIMARS are different from those on the FMTV.

OK, I can see that now. the outer portion is recessed on the FMTV but the opposite on the HIMARs. thanksThe wheel hubs are different on the HIMARS from those on the FMTV.

Indeed they are. I had not looked at the HIMARS kit until you posted.

I think the Trumpeter kit contains Goodyear tires.

Yes, that is correct. Unfortunately, I discovered that the HIMARS has different hubs than the M1083, so I will just have to wait for someone to release a set. I hate the rubber kit tires.I think the Trumpeter kit contains Goodyear tires.

Just an idea, You can complete the M1078 set with the M1082 trailer set (DW35080).
Remove all DEF Model resin rims and replace them with Trumpeter rims.

I am not sure I am ready to drill out the resin hubs, but thanks for the suggestion.

Are you sure Trumpeter changed this? The sprue shots on Trumpeter HP tell that they used the same sprue as in their M1083 kit.

I wouldn't get hung up over the wheels
So you can use the DEF Model M1083 FMTV wheels if you wanted to...
