They have the Hobbycraft T-72 at Hobby Lobby. I know the AS 90 is a re-box of the Trumpeter kit and I picked up one of those. Anyone know anything about their T-72? How is it? What type tracks does it have (vinyl, indy, etc.)?
Thanks in advance,
Shaun

sounds like its a rebox of the trumpeter t-72 which is a ripp off of the tamiya kit with ERA blocks on it the figure looks like a melted alien but the kit looks ok might be worth buying it and using the ERA blocks on the tamiya kit if you have it around oh tracks are vinal btw

I bought the HobbyCraft Fedayeen truck thingie and its not bad for a rip off kit. The plastic is real light and in some places nimble but it doesnt amtter since it going to get blown up in the end for a dio. The figs that came with it though a pretty sweet. I was thinking about getting the T-72 and the BMP-1 but I dunno.

Don't know about the T-72, but I made the mistake of buying the M2 and it has to be the worst kit I've ever purchased. Missing parts, incomplete/incorrect instructions, shoddy moulding ... I could go on and on. I eventually relegated it to the parts bin.

Well, I have to agree with you guys. For the most part all of those Hobbycraft/Trumpeter kits are not the best, but since I only paid 20-30 bucks for five kits, I can't complain. As they say, you get what you pay for. Anyway, I seem to be a model masochist, and rather enjoy fixing up the clunkers. Right now I am working on the T-59, and I am really looking forward to the T-72. I guess since I only spent $5 bucks on the kit, I don't feel so bad about buying AM stuff -- especially since all of the tracks from those kits must be replaced -- the T-55 tracks are some of the worst I have ever seen! The kits are a good starting point, but they need lots of TLC. If you do one, you had better love to sand
