Next build... going to convert it somehow - maybe a German armoured car type (photographic evidence available) or perhaps a WHIF Stuka am Fuss or Katyusha....

some progress - first of the year of any type of modelling... am not sure exactly what will be visible but going to do the interior (currently just test fitted):

Initial interior painting (all pieces just placed). I don't think much of this will be visible (upper hatches over the driving compartment are fairly big tho so you never know). Going to do some basic weathering over engine & front anyway just to get my eye back in to modelling:

it's so small (relative to 1/35 TAS-44M)... Interior is going together today - going to button up the engine compartment but leave hatches open for driver side...

Bank Holiday Monday modelling... messed up a little on the engine cover - fit isn't great - but think huge Stuka am Fuss brackets & rockets will hide a multitude of sins. The 4 bogie constructions have 15 pieces each but go together quite easily:

i agree - shame to hide the engine but with the seats in not much is visible... but leaving the driving hatches open... told you.. small... but I think the crates (I only have 2 but actually thing 4 would be too heavy) either side will look right:

ok, not finished but this is where the first session leaves me.... more tomorrow I hope. Not sure how people paint track when mounted on wheels, these will be in 2 halves (top & bottom) and painted off chassis

ok, so build is done, tracks will be glued in place once painted so slightly "gappy". quite pleased with how it looks. For paining I though the pre-shading would actully be the AK Interactive olive drab modulation (or a couple of tomes from it) and then russian green over the top - think that will give a good variation. Dunkelgelb from MIrror Models (first time I will have used that)... might get primer on tomorrow

all primered. Mig Ammo One-Shot black - really nice and easy to use. Think I will do as I thought - preshade with olive drab modulation before applying the russian green - should give it a slightly "dirtier" green (I hope)

and now it has gone green... modulation of olive drab then Mr Color Russian Green 1 over the top. Going to leave it to cure for a few days then I hope Saturday I can get the dunkegelb camouflage started. Dont forget, this is a russian vehicle captured and then modified. i would expect in the field paint to be basic (which is why it will be 2 tone striped dunkelgelb I think

thanks for that - my biggest worry is that the dunkelgelb will look too flat. Going for almost tiger stripe (there is a 222 in grey/dunkelgelb that caught my eye) effect over the cab (front and sides and the rear vertical. Stuka zu fuss unit will be dunkelgelb to show it being "transplanted" from a donor vehicle

think I am going to do green patch with dunkelgelb demarcation (there is a later war scheme called "giraffe" I believe - that sort of effect. Anyway photos of painted stuka assembly just placed on. hope to get camouflage done tomorrow

Decals on, mixture of 2 kits - some a little fragile. Stuka units done (one isn't quite right but too late now)... next are a few little bits - like mounting the tracks!!!

Actually I already have the tracks made up and painted (first time doing them with drive & rear wheel glued in place). They weren't too bad - but small. Need to check if the wheels have tyres on them first tho). The worst part of this kit is that there are no real positive fixings - so the wheels have very small nubs to fit over - managed them with blu-tac and careful fitting... hopefully gluing will be easier

ah, should have looked through the entire thread before posting.
The road wheels and idler wheel all have tires though, based on what I've seen on pictures of surviving examples
