Mixed feelings about this one. I hope it will be a good kit, but so far my experiences with "real" vehicle models from Amusing Hobby (not fictional what-ifs they usually release) are not great. Their Conqueror Mk.1 is in many areas even worse than the Dragon Black Label Mk.2 one and it is quite an achievement considering how bad the DML one is...

Vodnik,
Respectfully, I hope you're wrong on this one; the promised engineering vehicle based off of this vehicle is one I really want; so, I'm keeping an open mind until proven otherwise.

Strangely enough, both AFV Club and Amusing Hobby were using the same boxart pics. There is speculation that they are the same kits and the plastic will be by AFV Club based on their earlier LVTP-5.

Awesome!!! Awesome!!! Awesome!!!
I'm already stashing away my pennies for when these are released. If the LVTH6 is a winner out of the box, I'll be selling off the resin conversion I have in the stash. Lets see if someone follows up with an interior.
With the LVTE1, hopefully they offer choice between raised/lowered plow as well as raised/lowered rocket launch rails.

I like the AFV Club kit, so that would be fine with me. Did any of these serve in Vietnam with the Corps?

Additionally....
LVTH6s continued to serve in the Philippine and Taiwanese Marines well into the 2000s. I think the Philippine LVTH6s are still in service and now sport the brown/white/gray block urban camouflage more familiar on “Berlin Brigade” Chieftans.
These pics were some of the vehicles on the ramp at the Philippine Marine Armor base in Manila in 2000.

I served with the 1st Armored Amphibian Company (How-6) in Viet Nam. I started out as an E3 ammo handler on vehicle 13Jr, worked up to E4 and gunner before being promoted to E5 and Crew chief of vehicle 11.
I have the AFV Club P5 kit and a resin How-6 conversion that I never built. At the time, AFV Club had announced that a How-6 was in the pipeline but nothing came of it. I have a bunch of pic's of these in the field but I don't know how to add them here.'

If it's based on the earlier release from AFV Club,I hope they keep the same features.

YAT-YAS and Semper Fi! I too have the P5 and resin How-6 in the stash. I also have all the maintenance manuals for the H6 that will hopefully help with constructing an interior. If your willing to share your pictures would be extremely helpful.
I spent all my time on the AAVP7A1, I have to rely on any pics and pubs I come across for a P5 and H6 build.

Semper Fi, I saw the prototype AAV in Panama. Have you seen the book by High Gloss Publishing ?? It's called LVTP5 Landing Vehicle Tracked Personnel. 4Quoted TextI served with the 1st Armored Amphibian Company (How-6) in Viet Nam. I made sure to grab a copy as soon as they were available. It is an excellent reference. Reference on the P5 is hard to come by.
