Some of the instructions for this kit are driving me batty! In step 6 it shows a long rod or tube (part P8) attached at an angle on the bask plate - what is this? None of my references shows this.
Then is step 10 it again shows a rod or tube but this time it is covered in a myriad of photo etch parts. No where do the instructions show where to attach this. Again I can't find anything like this in my references. What the heck is it??
Thanks in advance to all you Tiger 1 exoerts!!

That diagonally attached tube is a case for command antenna (also known as umbrella or palmtree). His Tiger was of the type with three antennas. Can't tell of the other part without seeing a picture.

The rod in step 10 is one of the sprues and it's used as a template to bend the PE with.
As for your first question; this is "007".

I have only heard it called a "star" antenna.

Quick question since I have three DML Tigers 6253 I the stash. Does this kit have all the makings of 007, zimmerit not withstanding? It has markings for 009 which apparently was also a command tank.

Those are Russian equivalents, but they fit to describe the look of it, don't they?

Dragon have a habit of changing the contents of kits without changing the box in a comprehensible way. So I don't know which issue of 6253 you have or what exactly is in it.
But if you have the original release from ten years ago; congratulations!

In German it is called a "sternantenna D". Which translates to "star antenna" type D

Yep, I preordered Whitmans last Tiger. A month after they arrived at the destributer I called to see if it had shipped and was told they were out and they were sorry there weren't enough to go arround.

I could never understand Cyber Hobby and their concept of a "limited time" release. Not after seeing how 40 old kits still sell.
