Does anyone know what color the French tanker uniform would have been around the 1950-1960s era? I purchased a set of figures from azimut and am ready to paint the tanker....can't seem to find any reference on it. thanks in advance for any help

The French battledress was medium to dark green. When faded, the fabric used to look like Tamiya Khaki Drab.
During this period, the soldiers wore a shirt with a tie under the combat uniform. The shirt was light khaki and the tie could be brown or light khaki as well.

Thanks so much Olivier! I kinda figured it was something like that but wasn't sure. The picture on the azimut website looks like it has some brown in it....I'll try to match it as best as I can. I'll post a picture when I'm done... thanks again Olivier

Here is a period picture.

It comes from Chars Français which is a reference for French armor.

Yes, it was.
The EBR belonged to the 8th Régiment de Hussards. It inspired my own model ... before getting its bath

Thanks. Yes the kit is the Hobby Boss so-called EBR-11.

I first fixed the several issues with the kit then backdated it to show an early EBR deployed in Algeria. Some early features come from an Azimut set which is so-so. The wheels are from Def Model.
