Can anyone help me with colours of Toyota Hilux used by Seal Team in Red Wings Operation. I don't know if I use sand or US armour sand as light colour and the dark I don't have idea.

Thanks in advance

André

"Armor Sand" for that green tint.

SEALs and SF are similar in one respect - we use what's available on the local economy. And since there are not many Home Depots to be found in that corner of the world, my company brought cases of Krylon camouflage paint with us. We used it on our M4s, our ACH's, and our vehicles. I've often posted photos of our Tacomas which were not camouflaged, but I do have a few photos (prints at that time) floating around of another team's Tacoma camouflaged with Krylon shot through camo netting. I have some from our UAZ 469s as well. I'm on mission right now but when I return home I'll see if I can dig them up.
I'd suggest looking at Krylon sand, with khaki as the darker color. You can decant Krylon and run it through your airbrush. More than likely thosse were the actual colors used. After a judicious coating of dust it'll be hard for anyone to say difinitively one way or the other anyway.

Robert, one more time, thank you. Sorry that I didn't reply your previous message. Yes, Brazil has a lot of.

Cheers

I forgot about this post until someone reminded me of it. I did a cursory search through my old photos and this is all I could find for the moment. At least I know generally where the rest are.

One of our UAZ 469's. We purchases several of these from India. They were hastily assembled and driven to us through Pakistan. Nuts and bolts would fall off while we drove around. I have some funny video of one that beeped every time it hit bump.
