Good morning!
I'm building Brach's Durchbruchswagen (DW 1), which is an amazing resin kit I can't say enough good things about --- molding, detailing, fit and packaging are all outstanding. The problem isn't the kit, but the almost complete lack of source material on the Tiger's grandfather. I'm guessing the master was based on Doyle's drafting in Spielberger; more recent info in Jentz/Doyle's Tiger volume differs somewhat. Does anyone know of, or have, photos of the real vehicle (other than the tracks).
Thanks.
George

Comparing the Brach DW 1 and DW 2, I notice that both have 280mm pitch tracks and drive sprockets; references claim two different tracks, a 300mm pitch design that rode poorly and was supposedly used on the DW 1, and a 260mm pitch design that rode better (but not well, apparently, as the pitch was further reduced on the VK3001H). This compromise is disappointing but probably only to someone with both tanks side-by-side.
