Are the Tamiya Sherman - Early Production and Pershing worth buying? I'd liked to get some input (even if they are half price) before I go to my local Hobby Lobby (again) and buy one, or two, or three...thanks! :-)

Simply put, yes. Both are worth the price of admission, especially if it's half off!

The early Sherm needs a few corrections to be an accurate "early". Go here for a run-down:

U.S. Army Models

The Pershing is a nice kit OOB.

IMHO (I am not a rivet counter), anything by Tamiya since the mid-80s is worth having.

Though usually on sale (I am a cheapskate ).

I have built the M4 out of the box and it is nice I have the M26 and the M4 with the 105. Both I got at the Hobby Lobby sale. Both look very nice in the box. The M26 has seperate engine covers which is nice if you want to add an engine.

Thanks All...My local Hobby Lobby had quite a few of each, also the M4A3 and the M3. Now I have to see if the wife will let me go spend some more money, since this is the last day of the sale...

Yeah, I am going back for the second time in about an hour. Probably grab the Hobby Craft Chally 2 and Marines M1A1 for about $20.00 total.
I have 2 of the Tammy Pershings and haven't started either one yet but they look great in the box. You can find a review of the Pershing at the link below.
