What is the best kit to attempt a 1967 era 105mm M7? What about Dragon's "mid-production" version?

I'm guessing that you're wanting to do an IDF vehicle? The mid-production would be okay but you'll still need to replace the running gear at a minimum and I don't know all of the other mods the IDF did to those vehicles. You might Google for some IDF walkarounds for M7'.

I can't answer your question, nevertheless, these photos might help with your build.

Great pictures. That last one would be a weathering challenge. And it might have all 4 types of road wheels! Early spoke, pressed, heavy duty pressed and maybe a late type spoke.

Yes, there are several road wheel options and perhaps a couple of track options? And did I see a Russian tankers helmet in at least one photo?

Wow! What a wealth of knowledge and assistance is available from the many helpful people on this site. I have had a kit of the Dragon "Mid-Production" M-7 on the shelf for over five years...you know the deal and I had been stealing parts now and again for other models. Along the way I added AFV Club chevron tracks and have a whole box of surplus Sherman sprues from other Dragon kits, so a 1967 era IDF Self Propelled Gun is do-able. Great photos!
