Thank you for the photos Hans, they are excellent. Somewhat unrelated question though: what -if anything- can you tell me about the large caliber shell in the background. I fully realize that it has nothing to do with the mortar; its just its proximity made me curious.

sorry to tell, but there was no information about the shell in the background. A guess that it might be 15cm smoke round.
