Dragon’s 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 plastic kits are well known and loved in the modeling fraternity. However, these don’t compare with the next step – a Nashorn 4-in-1 kit.

Although it will likely retail at the current Dragon pricing of $79.99, it has MAGIC TRACKS and not DS. Once the price drops after it ages a bit, it may be totally worth it.

Judging from the earlier kits, I'm guessing just the parts for the command aerial and the extra radios are the only difference. Pretty sure the command version was the only one not covered by the previous releases.

That's what I suspected. I don't see a reason to buy this kit, unless I want to build the command version. And, I'm not saying that it is a bad kit. Dragon's earlier German armor is still the best game, in town.

Having just built the 3 in 1, it looks like the exact same kit but with the command antenna and new radios. I won't be spending any money on this one.

Dragon "official" retail prices don't really matter if you know where to buy from. I typically only pay $25 - $35 each for even new release Dragon kits from DragonUSAonline.com. They run crazy promotional deals all the time. And their shipping costs are dirt cheap too.

As for the magic tracks, it's a good thing Dragon is too cheap to tool up a set of DS tracks to fit the longer Nashorn chassis.

Wow! A 4-in-1 kit! The differences are subtle, the buyers feverish. While this is undoubtedly another great kit (especially with MagicTracks!) I can't help but feel that re-releases are the order of the day. That and silly new prices so I'm fine with trudging on with what I already have and not be suckered in on such marketing ploys.

The parts for the command vehicle most likely come from the Cyber Hobby Nashorn Command kit 6646.

It would interest a new modeler or someone
Who never built any version of a Nashorn before.I never have,so it would boil down to this one,"Magic Tracks good" or the newer Tamiya.
